Atelier by Mitsuru Koga

Exhibition starting on May 20th Friday until June 19th Sunday 2016

“Paint brushes, rulers, pencils and hammers…. The tools in my atelier have a human quality to them.” – Mitsuru Koga

Starting May 20th  we will host a special exhibit of Mitsuru Koga’s latest works, ‘Atelier’, featuring his collection of paint brushes.

Each paint brush is carved from a single block of lumber and made to look like separate pieces. (Please see the attached Video below.)
This artistic illusion, and the complicated skill behind the simple illusion, is what makes Koga’s work especially unique.

We will also have his newly summarized anthology of the same series in limited quantity, as well as additional pieces from his FLAT WORKS series that feature flattened cardboard boxes and wooden crates.
