Peter Ivy

Currently living in rural Japan, Peter Ivy received his undergraduate degree from Rhode Island School of Design in 1995, and went on to work in Seattle at several notable studios, primarily David Levi’s Ibex, and that of Dante Marioni. He has taught internationally at Massachusetts College of Art, R.I.S.D., as well as at Aichi University of Education, where he served as head of the program. Additionally, he has taught workshops at Haystack, Pilchuck, Niijima, and Penland. For the past 4 years, he has enjoyed focusing entirely on designing and crafting tablewares in his own studio, Ryudou Kenkyusho, which translates roughly as Fluidity Laboratory.
