Kentaro Masumitsu

Tokyo based artist Kentaro Masumitsu is skilled to work with almost any material – wire, leather, wood – and can craft almost any object from them – prints, sculptures, shoes, furniture. His stone prints are made using metal sheets cut into shapes of stones and then pounded with an actual stone to give it real and detaiiled texture, which he then uses to imprint onto the paper. While he resuese the stone-shaped metal plates, the placement of the stones is unique to each print. The wooden frames that come with the prints are also made by and mounted by the artist, as are the metal stands.
