About 130 years ago this metal tea leaf container was first designed by a Kyoto craftman and his family continues this work until today. All are handmade. Using dual structure, there is a very high sealing ability and tea leaves are protected from oxidization. The inside uses the tin version which lessens temperature change, and has heightened antibacterial effect. The outside uses copper which gives you profound feeling. Moreover, changes in its color and gloss over time will give this piece great character. (Brass and Tin container would stay as it looks.) After aligment of the lines on the side of lid and body, leave the lid as it falls down by itself. It is useful to changing inside into a vacuum state and so you could keep leaves fresh longer. It works great as a container of coffee as well. The scooper can be stored on top of the inside lid.
