this lamp is made by one of the most traditional bent wood technique which is still existed in akita, north part of japan. this designer, toshiyuki tani went up to north from tokyo to learn the bent wood technique directly from a craft man and makes the shade by himself one by one.

not only the beauty of the shape, but also you could enjoy the shadow and more scent of cedar when light is on.
